The Business Case is an action step from the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) Cultural and Linguistic Competence Plan to guide the state health equity vision.
It was selected as a core objective because of the opportunity it provides to enhance system stakeholder knowledge about disparities, inefficiencies, and cost as it relates to treatment and service inequities. Included in the Business Case are the National Enhanced CLAS Standards (MACC will also be providing five regional CLAS trainings to interested boards).
OhioMHAS and the Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence (MACC) are partnering to provide presentations to local boards across Ohio focused on the implementation of strategies to promote health equity. MACC will also provide follow up technical assistance.
Presentations consist of a one-hour overview of the Business Case and 30-minute discussion around next steps.
