The Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence (MACC) announced the release of their 2008 “Learning Your Needs” Updated Cultural Competence Needs Assessment Report featuring new mental health information on the Somali community. The report updates a statewide 2006 Cultural Competence Needs Assessment conducted for the Ohio Department of Mental Health.

MACC CARE Ohio Training Program

MACC and United Way of Central Ohio are pleased with the progress of the former CARE Columbus training program which was transfered to MACC in 2009. CARE Ohio training has expanded to a statewide level and increased the program’s capacity to serve a broader variety of health care and human services-related disciplines.
