2017 Minority Health Month Events
April is National Minority Health Month. MACC has partnered with the Ohio Commission on Minority Health to host two community events aiding in the reduction of infant mortality (the death of a child before their 1st birthday) within the African American community. The continued need for support is demonstrated by Ohio's ranking of 49th in the nation for the deaths of African American babies. New and expecting mothers will be provided resources for the overall wellness of themselves and their babies. Lunch, diapers/ giveaways, and public transportation reimbursement will be provided. Priority is placed on African American women living in the 43206 zip code area who are pregnant and/or new moms (a child under one year old). Attendance is FREE but registration is required.
