The
Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence, Inc (MACC) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit statewide membership organization.MACC was established in 2003 to make cultural competence a cornerstone in Ohio's behavioral health system.
The organization is governed by a twenty member board of directors. Seven of MACC'S board members are standing representatives for the following organizations: NAMI (state and local); Ohio Council of Behavioral Health Care Providers; Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities; Ohio Advocates for Mental Health; Ohio Psychological Association; Ohio Psychiatric Association; and the Ohio Federation for Children's Mental Health.The additional board members represent consumers, consumer family members, advocates, behavioral and health professionals and other disciplines who care for vulnerable populations and are nominated and elected by the membership.
