Agencies such as MACC are often asked to identify providers and agencies believed to be culturally competent. Acknowledging the need for a central database, MACC has partnered with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities to create the first-ever Ohio directory of providers and agencies that implement culturally and linguistically appropriate behavioral health and health care services.
D NATE TODAY
Why your gift to Multiethnic Advocates for Cultural Competence matters:
MACC has been recognized as an Ohio leader in developing culturally appropriate strategies to eliminate health and other human development disparities among racial, ethnic, and cultural communities. We work with our allies and partners to:
Facilitate learning opportunities on cultural competence and other contemporary issues to improve skills of clinicians and staff in the helping professions;
Identify promising practices and evidence-based programs to eliminate disparities and share them with systems and organizations;
Conduct demographic research to inform policy; and
Identify and develop tools, trainers, and assessments throughout the state of Ohio.
WE ARE MORE POWERFUL WITH YOU!
Your contribution will enable us to further our work to improve health outcomes throughout Ohio and beyond!
