November 12, 2025 - 1:00PM to 3:00PM
2 CEUs offered for Ohio Residents
Presented by Dr. Rachel Elahee with Presidential Consultants
This powerful training centers the lived experiences of veterans and explores how trauma, military culture, and the transition to civilian life shape mental health and well-being. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sleep disruption, chronic pain, and substance use—particularly alcohol and cannabis—intersect in the veteran community.
Through discussion, case examples, and trauma-responsive strategies, providers will learn to apply active listening and culturally competent approaches that foster trust, safety, and healing. The session invites attendees to reflect on their own assumptions, enhance their clinical sensitivity, and strengthen their ability to support veterans with compassion and effectiveness.
