Cultural Competence Certification
MACC’s Cultural Competence Certification is the "gold standard” for demonstrating your organization’s commitment to a continuous learning process that builds knowledge, awareness, skills, and capacity to identify, understand and respect the unique beliefs, values, customs, languages, abilities, and traditions of those you serve, work and partner with.
Certification can help distinguish your organization in an increasingly competitive service and labor market.
Project Overview
THIS PROJECT CONCLUDED ON SEPTEMBER 29, 2023. MACC has received another round of funding and will announce details on the NEW certification program in Spring 2024.
Through the SAMSHA and OMHAS-funded State Opiate and Stimulant Response Project 3.0, behavioral healthcare organizations may receive free training resources and support to better equip them to serve diverse populations.
The goal of this training opportunity is to support the eradication of racial disparity in service delivery by equipping behavioral health and substance misuse treatment agencies and organizations with training and resources to improve cultural competence.
Our work will help secure better outcomes from treatment for all Ohioans by delivering training to providers that support the awareness and development of cultural competence, sensitivity, and humility to encourage and establish alignment with national CLAS standards.
